NYB: Member Spotlight: Madison Ritsch
Madison Ritsch is a C-2/H-B from the Eagle River Pony Club in the Rocky Mountain Region and has been a member of the USPC since 2013. Throughout her time in Pony Club, Madison has competed in a countless number of rallies, two championships, has taught at the Rocky Mountain Region Annual Horse Management Clinic and was awarded the USPC Jubilee Scholarship in 2019. She currently sits on the Marketing Committee of the National Youth Board and serves as the Social Media Coordinator. NYB: Taking a Step Back: High School to College as an Equestrian
My name is Madison. I am a current junior in college studying Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder. I try to ride 1-2 times per week at a local eventing barn and was fortunate enough to be able to half lease a Connemara over the summer. These days I enjoy my relaxed afternoons at the barn jumping a lesson horse over little 2’ jump courses. A few years ago my life was at the barn. NYB: Opportunities in Pony Club: National Youth Board
The National Youth Board is a group of 14 delegates from around the nation who act as a liaison between the Board of Governors and the youth membership of Pony Club. They bring ideas, concerns, and suggestions forward to the Board of Governors and work closely with members of the national office on both their independent projects as well as larger Pony Club campaigns. The National Youth Board has five committees which members can choose to work in. The marketing committee works closely with the national office to help create social content and collect photos from Pony Club events.
