3 Questions with Connie
What makes Pony Club different from other organizations? How are USPC members so conscientious of their equine partners? Why are USPC members the “helpers” in the barn and always know how to handle equine situations? The answer is USPC Horse Management and the education members receive to help them best care for their horses and ponies. We all love USPC Instruction Director, Connie Jehlik, she has spent countless hours helping us better understand how to best care for our favorite pony friends. . Good news, she is at it again with Festival Hangout’s 3 Questions with Connie! Spend some virtual time with Connie in the barn as she focuses on the…

TheHorse.com presents: Staying Sane on Stall Rest
Certain equine injuries and illnesses—such as tendon and ligament strains, bone fractures, and laminitis, to name just a few—typically benefit from stall rest as they heal. This comes with its own set of challenges: digestive upset from diet and routine changes, gastric ulcers from stress and feeding schedules, and respiratory issues from dusty bedding or hay, to name a few. The good news? There are steps you can take to combat these potential problems. Learn how to keep horses happy and healthy while on stall rest in our step-by-step visual guide. Star Stable Saddles Up and Rides Into Tryon International Equestrian Center
By: Guest author Matilda Opalpie from the online horse adventure game Star Stable Greetings (or as we say, “Hej”) from Stockholm, Sweden! My name is Matilda Opalpie. If you are a Star Stable player, you might know me for my iconic black hat and for awkwardly stumbling on words while trying to present all the latest news (and other fun stuff!) about the online game Star Stable! If somebody would have told me when I was a little horse-loving girl that I would be working for an amazing horse game one day, I would have thought they were pulling my leg. But here I am, ta daaa! And right now,…

TheHorse.com presents: Rain Rot
Rain rot is a bacterial skin disease that causes hair loss and leaves horses with large patches of raw, irritated skin. It’s also highly contagious and can spread from horse to horse via direct contact, grooming tools, tack, and even on our hands. Often, the initial lesions develop along the rump, lower limbs, face, muzzle, withers, and in the saddle region. In their early stages, they often appear as raised tufts of hair with crusts, and they typically progress to larger, more widespread crusty, scaly, and painful lesions. Find out how to diagnose and treat existing cases and prevent future cases in TheHorse.com’s step-by-step visual guide—>

2017 Flash Teamwork Award Winner- Prancing Ponies Games Team
The Prancing Ponies Games Team was the winner of the 2017 Flash Teamwork Award for their incredible act of sportsmanship and teamwork at the 2017 USPC Festival. Thanks to Emily Cambridge, an H-A grad and now Club Secretary of Northern Exposure Pony Club in the Western New York Region for submitting their story. This year at Champs, I experienced something very special. I was the coach for my son’s junior games team, Prancing Ponies. On day two of the competition, his team saw that another team was struggling. The senior team, Impulsion, had two ponies that weren’t cooperating. One member of their team left the arena in a stretcher, and…
