Key Organizations Sign Historic Commitment to Equestrian Multi-Sport
The Pony Club International Alliance (PCIA) and the International Pentathlon Association (IPA) have signed an agreement to work together to develop, promote, and manage equestrian multi-sport.

Are you an overachiever? Run, swim, ride and shoot? Qualify for Pony Club Tetrathlon at Championships in Kentucky this Festival 2017! Basic Info: Qualify at your Regional Rally (or a neighboring region’s rally) and meet the following criteria: Fine Print: • Age as of January 1, 2017, certification as of closing date of qualifying rally. Entrant must have competed in the qualifying rally at the certification required for that division/discipline. • All Championships Competitors must be in compliance with USPC Policy #1002, Member in Good Standing. • C3, B/H-A/A competitors are invited to compete with the permission of the RS

International Tetrathlon Exchange Recap
Each year Pony Club offers international exchanges in many disciplines. Most recently there was a Tetrathlon Exchange held in Ireland. Team member Jessica Pieracci (H-B, Golden Hills Pony Club in the Middle California Region) shared her experience in a great recap of the trip! Championships East is Almost Here!
Look out! From July 22nd to the 26th The Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, VA will be invaded by USPC Championships East. Disciplines include: Eventing, Tetrathlon, Show Jumping, Quiz, Games, Polocrosse, and Dressage (including Western Dressage). The dictionary defines a flying change as a movement where the leading leg is changed in the air without breaking gait. This movement is used across the board from racing, to dressage, eventing, hunters, jumpers, reining, polo, and so on. Warming Up the Older Horse
When getting your horse ready for a show you do conditioning work. You have regular flat days, jumping days, bath days, and rest days. You also have a plan on how to warm your horse up at shows. If it is a new horse to you, you create a new plan. If it is a seasoned competitor, you know the horse has a set routine. The best idea is trial and error. Whatever works for you, may not necessarily be the best for your horse, and vice-versa. Each horse is different.
