Tell us about your current mount(s) and what you do with them:
My horse’s name is Chase, he is a 13 year old OTTB who I’ve had for three and a half years. We mainly do eventing, but are starting to dabble in the dressage department.

Tell us about your goals (with Pony Club, with riding, life):
My goal with Pony Club is to get my B dressage this coming summer and of course the A eventing at some point. My goal with riding is to continue to have fun and try new things while furthering my skills.

What is your favorite thing about Pony Club?
My favorite thing about Pony Club is that it feels like one big family. Everyone has the same interests and love for the horse.

What is one thing you would tell younger members first joining Pony Club?
You may not know many people at first, but once you start to go to camps, preps, clinics and rallies, you’ll have many friends in no time who you will find yourself spending lots of time with.

What is your favorite way to prep for an HM certification?
My favorite way to prep for an HM certification is to go to lots of preps not only in my home region, but to travel to other regions to get new information from NE’s and members who I don’t see frequently.

If you could try out any other discipline or activity, what would it be and why?
Distance Riding, I took my horse on a 25 mile ride a couple years ago with my coach Marlie and had a blast. Doing more distance riding in the future is a must.

Favorite Pony Club memory:
My favorite Pony Club memory is the first ever Pony Club camp I went to. I had only had my horse Chase for about 10 days and didn’t know many people who were in my club and at the camp. By the end of those four days, I had made so many new friends that I still ride and test with through Pony Club.

What makes you #PonyClubProud?
Being an upper level member who can help the younger and newer members learn what Pony Club is all about. To help further their knowledge of horse management and riding to become the new upper level members of Pony Club.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
Pony Club is the best!!!

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) is the largest equestrian educational organization in North America. Started in 1954, the organization has developed curriculum that teaches safe riding skills and the care of horses through mounted and unmounted lessons. Through Pony Club, members have fun with horses and make lifelong friends while they develop skills, habits, and values that extend well beyond the barn and last a lifetime. Many members apply what they have learned in the USPC program successfully in their careers, educational and volunteer opportunities, and other life pursuits.
