    Meet your 2016 National Youth Board Members!

    USPC would like to highlight the National Youth Board Members for the current term. Today we meet Area 7 member Jessica Pieracci. Jessica Pieracci is a C-3 Traditional member of Golden Hills Pony Club in the Middle California Region. She has been riding her whole life and joined Pony Club when she was 10 years old. She competes in eventing and tetrathlon on her six year old thoroughbred, Apollo’s Harp. Jessica enjoys foxhunting and is an active member of the Los Altos Hounds. She has competed in Championships three times: once in quiz, and twice in tetrathlon. She was a member of the 2015 International Foxhunting Exchange held in Kentucky…

    USPC would like to highlight the National Youth Board Members for the current term. Today we meet Area 2 member Kelly Lynch. Kelly Lynch is an H-B, D-3 Traditional, C-1 Flat member of Centennial Pony Club in the Rocky Mountain Region. Kelly has been a member of Pony Club since 2006. She has been involved regionally at rallies, D camps, and Horse Management and Standards and Certification clinics as well as nationally, competing at Quiz Championships in 2010. Outside Pony Club, Kelly is attending Colorado State University for Equine Science with a concentration in Equine Assisted Therapy.     USPC would like to highlight the National Youth Board Members for the current term. Today we meet Area 5 member Nicole Ligon. Nicole Ligon is an “A” member from Pickering Hunt Pony Club in the Eastern Pennsylvania Region. She has been a Pony Club member for over ten years, and spent time exploring a vast majority of what Pony Club has to offer, including foxhunting, mounted games, polocrosse, and the three day eventing disciplines. She maintains a busy schedule within her region by teaching unmounted meetings, participating in and teaching mounted lessons, giving clinics, and generally trying to encourage other members to reach for their upper level certifications and take…

    USPC would like to highlight the National Youth Board Members for the current term. Today we meet Area 5 member Deena Cahill. Deena Cahill is the secretary of the National Youth Board for 2016-2017. She is a C-2/H-B in Amwell Valley Hounds Pony Club of the New Jersey region. In her riding career, she focuses mostly on Eventing and Dressage. For the past five years Deena has been retraining an off-track thoroughbred and has successfully competed at Training level in Eventing, as well as First Level Dressage. Deena works at a local farm helping a family keep their horses exercised and trained. This year she hopes to move up to…

Mattea Curtis is an H (C-3/H-A) member of Northern Mines Pony Club in the Sierra Pacific Region. She became involved with Pony Club at the age of ten, and it has shaped her riding career. It introduced her to the sport of eventing, and she has been hooked ever since. With the help of her saint of a pony, Daisy, she competed in local events and achieved her C-2 certification. Cooper Madden-Hennessey is an H-B from the Oakendale Farm Pony Club Riding Center in the New York Upper Connecticut Region. Cooper is a busy college student at the University of Connecticut working to balance a barn life and an academic life. He enjoys working on his farm and tending to his OTTB prospect’s every need. Cooper is also an avid competitor, competing throughout New England and at Pony Club Championships. Kelly Tighe is an H-HM from Lost Hounds Pony Club in the Tri-State Region. She plans on following the dressage track for her upper level certifications. She has been a Pony Club member since 2007, and has competed at Championships in Quiz, Dressage, and Show Jumping. In 2014 Kelly was part of the Quiz International Exchange team at Festival. Kristin Short is an HB certified member from Lake Hunt Pony Club in Lake Shore Region. She has been a member of USPC since 2008. Since she began her college career in the fall of 2011, she has not had a permanent mount. However, not having a horse hasn’t stopped her involvement with Pony Club.
