Meet your 2018 National Youth Board members- Devyn!

USPC would like to highlight the National Youth Board Members for the current term. Today we would like to introduce Devyn Hinkle.

Devyn is a C-3 Traditional and H-B member of the Redwood Hills Pony Club in the Middle California Region. She is the current Chair of the National Youth Board along with her seat on Board of Governors and Marketing and Communications Committee. For the past 14 years she’s competed in numerous rallies, been to championships in 5 disciplines, assisted her mother in running her regional club, helped organize regional quiz rallies, and participated on the National Youth Congress. Devyn grew up riding in disciplines from Eventing to Games to Barrel Racing, but is most interested in the Hunter/Jumper world. She was individual gold medalist for the Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Finals in 2014, which won her an internship at Spy Coast Farm. Devyn graduated from Lehigh University in December 2017 with honors for degrees in Marketing and Design. At school she was President of Video Club, secretary of Caring for Cambodia, took multiple music lessons, and worked part time as a barista. Pony Club has always been an important part of Devyn’s life, and she loves giving back to the organization that has done so much for her.

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) is the largest equestrian educational organization in North America. Started in 1954, the organization has developed curriculum that teaches safe riding skills and the care of horses through mounted and unmounted lessons. Through Pony Club, members have fun with horses and make lifelong friends while they develop skills, habits, and values that extend well beyond the barn and last a lifetime. Many members apply what they have learned in the USPC program successfully in their careers, educational and volunteer opportunities, and other life pursuits.
