The United States Pony Clubs Adds New Helmet Certification to Official Helmet Policy; Shares Decades of Safety History
March 18, 2024 (Lexington, KY) —Since its founding, The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) has led the equestrian community in promoting and teaching safe horsemanship practices in all equestrian activities. As part of its emphasis on safety, USPC has a long history of raising awareness for the usage of riding helmets, and their related safety certifications, and of working to improve safety requirements within the horse industry. February 29, 2024 (Lexington, KY) — From its early beginnings for its first annual meeting in New York City, N.Y., in 1954 with its founding members to a festive and fun-filled educational event in a five-star resort in Reno, Nev., 70 years later, The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) kicked off its 70th Anniversary year celebration at the 2024 USPC Convention, Presented by Via Nova Training, and Sponsored by Lincoln Memorial University. Cheers to 70 Years of Equestrian Education with the United States Pony Clubs
The year 2024 is a big year for The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) as the organization celebrates its 70th Anniversary. The organization’s vision is to be the leading source and voice of education in horse care, safety, and equestrian pursuits. Officially founded on February 24, 1954, as a youth organization to teach safe riding and the proper care of horses, USPC has developed into an organization for all ages and experience levels.

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) invites horse lovers of all ages, experience levels, and disciplines to attend the 2024 USPC Convention, presented by Via Nova Training, which will be hosted by USPC and the Sierra Pacific Region, from January 24-28, 2024, at the Peppermill Reno Resort and Spa in Reno, Nev. The event will offer a blend of in-person and on-demand educational opportunities, including leadership training, equine education, and hands-on learning activities. While education is the main focus, a highlight is always the camaraderie and connections made with equine enthusiasts from around the country.

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. Changes National Events to Offer USPC Festival More Often
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) has made a significant change to its national events offerings for USPC members. Starting in 2024, the United States Pony Clubs will be celebrating USPC Festival every other year in Lexington, Ky., instead of every three years. Festival offers its national championships competition in eight disciplines with open competitions in two of its newest disciplines during the first part of the week. This is followed by more than 50 clinics and workshop sessions taught by Olympians, Pony Club experts, and equine industry professionals.
