Pony Club Newsletter Notes from the 1980s: A Decade of Development
A lot can happen in 10 years for an organization. As evidenced in the Pony Club News newsletter, the 1980s were transformative years for the United States Pony Clubs, marked by significant organizational changes with the National Office, leadership, and the committees; the introduction of what is now an iconic event—Pony Club Festival (now called USPC Festival); changes to other championships; the continuation of many international exchanges; and a focus on safety and education. As the organization expanded, so did the USPC newsletter, reaching upwards of 20 pages. United States Pony Clubs to Host Meeting of the Pony Club International Alliance in July During 2024 USPC Festival
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC) is excited to announce that it will be hosting ambassadors from countries within the Pony Club International Alliance (PCIA), July 16–20, 2024, during the 2024 USPC Festival, which is set for July 15-22 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. February 29, 2024 (Lexington, KY) — From its early beginnings for its first annual meeting in New York City, N.Y., in 1954 with its founding members to a festive and fun-filled educational event in a five-star resort in Reno, Nev., 70 years later, The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) kicked off its 70th Anniversary year celebration at the 2024 USPC Convention, Presented by Via Nova Training, and Sponsored by Lincoln Memorial University. Pony Club Invites All Horse Lovers to Enjoy Education at the Annual USPC Convention, Presented by Via Nova Training and Sponsored by Lincoln Memorial University
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) invites horse lovers of all ages, experience levels, and disciplines to attend the 2024 USPC Convention, presented by Via Nova Training, which will be hosted by USPC and the Sierra Pacific Region, from January 24-28, 2024, at the Peppermill Reno Resort and Spa in Reno, Nev. The event will offer a blend of in-person and on-demand educational opportunities, including leadership training, equine education, and hands-on learning activities. While education is the main focus, a highlight is always the camaraderie and connections made with equine enthusiasts from around the country.

The 2022 Flash Teamwork Award was awarded to Princess Fiona, who is owned by Beth Walkowicz of East Aurora-Lake Erie Pony Club. Fiona has been a special horse for many Pony Club members.
