Pony Club Newsletter Notes from the 1980s: A Decade of Development
A lot can happen in 10 years for an organization. As evidenced in the Pony Club News newsletter, the 1980s were transformative years for the United States Pony Clubs, marked by significant organizational changes with the National Office, leadership, and the committees; the introduction of what is now an iconic event—Pony Club Festival (now called USPC Festival); changes to other championships; the continuation of many international exchanges; and a focus on safety and education. As the organization expanded, so did the USPC newsletter, reaching upwards of 20 pages. The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. Changes National Events to Offer USPC Festival More Often
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) has made a significant change to its national events offerings for USPC members. Starting in 2024, the United States Pony Clubs will be celebrating USPC Festival every other year in Lexington, Ky., instead of every three years. Festival offers its national championships competition in eight disciplines with open competitions in two of its newest disciplines during the first part of the week. This is followed by more than 50 clinics and workshop sessions taught by Olympians, Pony Club experts, and equine industry professionals.

United States Pony Clubs Offers Annual Awards & Recognition for Members Competing in Dressage & Eventing
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) offers many levels of recognition each year for members who participate in Dressage and Eventing at Pony Club rallies, as well as competitions recognized by the United States Dressage Federation (USDF) and United States Eventing Association (USEA).

The USPC Festival is an incredibly special event for the United States Pony Clubs (USPC or Pony Club). Held every three years at the iconic Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky., it’s a celebration of the best that Pony Club has to offer with a weeklong schedule of Championships competition, education, and plenty of fun with Pony Club friends and family, and spectators, as well.
