Age: 45
Center/Region: Stones River Pony Club/Midsouth Region
Years in Pony Club: 32
Current certification: H-A Horse Management, B Eventing
What disciplines and/or activities are you involved in?
Dressage, Eventing, Show Jumping, and Foxhunting
Tell us about your current mount(s) and what you do with them:
My current mount is a five-year-old Westphalian mare out of Davinia by Qredit. I purchased her at 11 months of age, broke her, and produced her myself. Currently, she is learning the ropes of Eventing.
Tell us about your goals (with Pony Club, with riding, and in life):
My goal is to produce my horse to eventually ride for my “A” Eventing certification.
What is your favorite thing about Pony Club?
The ability to raise both mine and my horse’s education through mounted meetings. I’ve been able to ride with Leah-Lang Gluscic, Jonathan Holling, Jenni Hogan, Alex du Celliee Mueller, Jim Graham, and many more!

What is one thing you would tell new members about joining Pony Club?
There is a lot of information thrown at you at first. It can seem overwhelming, but stick with it!
What is your favorite way to prepare for a Horse Management (HM) certification?
Hands-on practice, visual support, and learning from teammates.

If you could try out any other discipline or activity, what would it be and why?
Tetrathlon! I grew up doing some tactical shooting, and I think it would be nice to blend my two worlds.
Describe your favorite Pony Club memory:
A few years ago at the 2021 USPC Festival, my team and I won Horse Management and the team competition in Eventing. That was amazing!
How did you get started with horses? Are you a member of any other equine organizations?
I got started with horses in a summer camp taking lessons at a small farm in Tennessee.
Have you done any special activities in Pony Club, such as international exchanges, recognition programs, virtual competitions, etc.)? Tell us more.
I got a few opportunities to travel to different regions, including Connecticut and Kansas, teaching for a few days.
What makes you #PonyClubProud?
Proud to have achieved my H-A Horse Management certification.
