Eventing, Dressage, Show Jumping, Hunter Seat Equitation

Tell us about your current mount(s) and what you do with them:
I currently have three horses that I am working with. Luca is a 16.3-hand grey warmblood whom I do Eventing and Dressage with. Luca is a very new horse to me, but she is a dream come true. This horse is everything I dreamed of and more! I also just recently purchased two Thoroughbreds off the track who I plan to take to the Retired Racehorse Project Thoroughbred Makeover in October. They have been wonderful to work with, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them!

Tell us about your goals (with Pony Club, with riding, life):
I hope to achieve my A certification by my senior year in high school and continue up the levels in Eventing.

What is your favorite thing about Pony Club?
My favorite thing about Pony Club is the amazing lifelong friendships you make no matter how far away you may live from one another.

What is one thing you would tell younger members first joining Pony Club?
I would tell younger Pony Club members that as long as they stick to it they can make all of their big dreams come true if they work hard enough!

What is your favorite way to prep for a Horse Management certification?
My favorite way to prep for a Horse Management certification is to work with a friend trying to achieve the same certification and to push each other to be the best you can be.

If you could try out any other discipline or activity, what would it be and why?
If I could try any other discipline, it would be barrel racing, because I feel like barrel racing is like the Eventing of the western world.

Favorite Pony Club memory:
My favorite Pony Club memory is an upper-level clinic that my region held a few years ago that I attended with my last off-track Thoroughbred, Tucker.

What makes you #PonyClubProud?
I am #PonyClubProud because of all the amazing opportunities and drive that Pony Club has given me with not just horses, but in life, as well.

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) is the largest equestrian educational organization in North America. Started in 1954, the organization has developed curriculum that teaches safe riding skills and the care of horses through mounted and unmounted lessons. Through Pony Club, members have fun with horses and make lifelong friends while they develop skills, habits, and values that extend well beyond the barn and last a lifetime. Many members apply what they have learned in the USPC program successfully in their careers, educational and volunteer opportunities, and other life pursuits.
