    U.S. Equestrian Announces U.S. Paralympic Equestrian Team for Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

    U.S. Equestrian is pleased to announce the athlete-and-horse combinations selected to represent the United States as part of Team USA at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. Para-equestrian competition will begin on Tuesday, September 3, and continue through Saturday, September 7, hosted at the equestrian grounds of Versailles. Find out which one is a Pony Club alum.

    Pony Club Newsletter Notes from the 1980s: A Decade of Development

    A lot can happen in 10 years for an organization. As evidenced in the Pony Club News newsletter, the 1980s were transformative years for the United States Pony Clubs, marked by significant organizational changes with the National Office, leadership, and the committees; the introduction of what is now an iconic event—Pony Club Festival (now called USPC Festival); changes to other championships; the continuation of many international exchanges; and a focus on safety and education. As the organization expanded, so did the USPC newsletter, reaching upwards of 20 pages.     In exploring the news of the 1980s, staff have discovered just how far we’ve come since the first computer was installed in Pony Club’s National Office during this decade (1983!) and gotten to know some of the people who helped shape Pony Club’s transition from a core of dedicated volunteers into a national organization with a full-time staff of professionals.     Chief Horse Management Judge: The Unsung Horsemanship Action Hero

    A Chief Horse Management Judge (CHMJ) is a qualified volunteer with the United States Pony Clubs (USPC or Pony Club) who has completed a required, rigorous training process over several years to become an official judge at Pony Club events for the area of Horse Management. To understand all that a CHMJ does in their role, Chief Horse Management Judge Clare Burkhart describes all that they do before a Pony Club rally, during a rally, and after a rally.

    Germany’s Christian Kukuk Claims Individual Jumping Gold in 2024 Olympic Games

    With the only double-clear performance on the final day of equestrian sport at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games equestrian venue in Versailles (FRA) on August 6, Germany’s Christian Kukuk definitively claimed the Individual Jumping title and the Gold medal with Checker 47.     Laura Kraut and Baloutinue Finish Eighth in Jumping Individual Final to Conclude Equestrian Competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games

    On the final day of equestrian competition at the incredible equestrian venue at Versailles, the U.S. Olympic Jumping Team saw Laura Kraut and her two-time Olympic Silver medalist partner, Baloutinue, finish inside of the Top 10 in the Jumping Individual Final, which determined Individual medals.
