Years in Pony Club:

Current certification (and/or certification currently working on): H-B HM, C-2 EV, C-2 DR, D-2 HSE

What disciplines and/or activities are you involved in?
Eventing and Show Jumping

Tell us about your current mount(s) and what you do with them:
Dallas is a draft cross and did Eventing until he retired in late 2022. Jet is a Thoroughbred and is my Show Jumping mount, who I took to USPC Championships the last two years. Poker is also a Thoroughbred that we just got, and we have been slowly introducing him to Show Jumping.

Tell us about your goals (with Pony Club, with riding, life):
My goals are to continue to develop and enhance my riding and horsemanship skills, as well as to give back to Pony Club by supporting my local clubs and regions at certifications and rallies.

What is your favorite thing about Pony Club?
There is constantly an opportunity to learn something new.

What is one thing you would tell younger members first about joining Pony Club?
There is constantly an opportunity to learn something new.

What is your favorite way to prepare for a Horse Management certification?
I spread out all my material in my room, focusing on each area as I review each testing block and Standards of Proficiency (SOP).

If you could try out any other discipline or activity, what would it be and why?
I would try Mounted Games because it looks like a lot of fun and an adrenaline rush.

Favorite Pony Club memory:
D Camp 2019, we were at Fair Hill International and there was a group of us who went on a trail ride, and I got to see so much of the gorgeous land.

What makes you #PonyClubProud?
All the people you meet in and out of my region. I’ve made friends from so many clubs and regions, and I enjoy being able to see them at a rally or Championships.

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc. (USPC or Pony Club) is the largest equestrian educational organization in North America. Started in 1954, the organization has developed curriculum that teaches safe riding skills and the care of horses through mounted and unmounted lessons. Through Pony Club, members have fun with horses and make lifelong friends while they develop skills, habits, and values that extend well beyond the barn and last a lifetime. Many members apply what they have learned in the USPC program successfully in their careers, educational and volunteer opportunities, and other life pursuits.
